Visit Our Lady of Poverty

Looking for something amazing to witness in Pereira, then located in the west of Plaza de Bolivar is the Church of Our Lady of Poverty is also named Pereira Cathedral. This place is a dedication to the Virgin Mary, under the dedication of Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza, in the state of Risaralda, Colombia. The cathedral features original brickwork, stunning architecture, stunning woodwork, and stunning paintings. This church was transformed into a cathedral in the 19th century by Pope Pius XII.

Explore Estacion del Ferrocarril

Estacion del Ferrocarril is an amazing and historic railway station which takes us back to the history of Colombia. Exploring Estacion del Ferrocarril is one of the charming Pereira things to do. Estacion del Ferrocarril, with its somewhat run-down building, is a historical heritage in one of the main squares of the city, close to the city center.

Bioparque Bonita Farm is a lovely family by Juan Carlos, a Colombian scientist. He founded this bio-reserve at his family’s former coffee farm to help tourists appreciate the profound relationship between all living things.

Off the main road, outside of Pereira, you can have a close-up experience in this farm with species like snakes, butterflies, tarantulas, and many more. The park also includes a greenhouse, displaying various kinds of butterflies and presentation of the life stages of a butterfly along with spiders and snakes.
